This is a small museum that celebrates some of the major milestones of Carnegie Hall. Look for the trowel that Andrew Carnegie used to ceremonially lay the first brick. The museum is before a small retail shop that contains a number of items for purchase. Access to the museum is through a doorway adjacent to the main entrance.

An outstanding item of engineering with finely cut rock interlocking to form an arch. It is well worthwhile planning a walking tour of Central Park that includes a journey under this arch.

Loved the statues - particularly the one of Shakespeare. This is one of the nicest avenues in Central Park with good access to the bandstand and the fountain. It seems a good place to stop and read a novel.
